More people in need will have a chance to turn things around thanks to a record fundraiser for the St. Albert Housing Society.
The society held its annual housing breakfast Tuesday and raised in excess
of $42,000. That more than doubles the amount raised in previous years, said executive director Tash Taylor.
The money will allow more people to apply to the society’s rental assistance program and connect them to important social agencies, she said. to important social agencies, she said. “This gives some security for the program that it can continue and that we can take on more participants,”
